Tuberville Interested in Texas Tech Job

- "I've enjoyed the year off," Tuberville said. "It's given me some good perspective. I have two boys that are playing, so I've enjoyed that. My wife has joked with me that I've changed every light bulb in the house and it's time to find something to do."
- "I would be very interested," he said. "I have family there. I have a lot of ties there. I've recruited Dallas and Houston and I think it would be a pretty good fit. Mike [Leach] did a good job and I think I could make the situation even better."
- It is quite ironic how Tuberville is now looking at the Texas Tech job, when last year Mike Leach was being considered for the Auburn job.

Cam Newton Delays Decision
- Top junior college quarterback Cameron Newton is no longer going to announce his commitment on new year's eve according to BullDawgJunction.com.
- "We still need more time to iron out all the details and Cam needs more time to sit down and look at everything," said his father Cecil Newton. "Cam is still looking at three schools (MSU, Auburn and Oklahoma) and he wants to make sure he looks at everything involved."
- "We obviously don't want to do this on New Year's Day," added Mr. Newton. "So it would probably be Saturday at the earliest. Cam has until around Jan. 9th before he has to be enrolled at school. So he knows he still has time to make a well, thought-out decision about his future. And like all recruits, this is a big decision in his life."
