- Gene Chizk announced that freshman quarterback Tyrik Rollison has been suspended for a violation of team rules.
- Coach Chizik said, "We have high standards that we have set and fully expect our team to meet. When these expectations are not met, I will make decisions based upon what is best for the entire football team and the Auburn Family."
- Rollison apologized on his facebook saying, "To the Auburn faithful, I'm sorry. I will get this issue corrected. I want all yall to know I expect more of myself and things will turn around. WAR EAGLE!!!"
