Chris Davis Gets Offer

• Chris Davis of Woodlawn High School in Birmingham has received a scholarship offer from Auburn. 
• Davis rushed for approximately 870 yards and 10 touchdowns and threw for another TD. He had five interceptions on defense.
• Jeff Sentell of the Birmingham News claims, "There is not a single player in the Yellowhammer State more likely to make a man miss on a given play." He also said "Players like Stanhope's Demarcus Milliner may be just as good, but I'd need to see reels of game film to be convinced they are any better."
  
• Fairfield coach Jim Vakakes said, "I bet he's in the top five in the state. He has to be. There's nobody we played this year with more God-given talent."
• He plans to officially visit Auburn Dec. 11.
  
• Davis previously told AuburnUndercover.com that the Tigers would jump to the top of his list with an offer.  
• He also holds offers from South Carolina and Mississippi State.
  

Marcus Lattimore's Final Five

• According to Byrnes High School assistant coach Bobby Bentley, Marcus Lattimore's final five consists of USC, Auburn, Penn State, Oregon and Georgia.
• Auburn’s running backs coach Curtis Luper will visit Lattimore on Tuesday.
• He is scheduled to visit Oregon on Jan. 15 and Georgia on Jan. 29.

Antonio Goodwin Decommits From the Tigers.

• Antonio Goodwin, 4 Star Wide Receiver from  Washington High School (Atlanta, Ga.), has decommited and is now looking at Auburn, Georgia, North Carolina, and West Virginia.
• Goodwin also hold offers from many other programs including Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Mississippi and Oregon.
• It appears that he is now leaning towards the Bulldogs.
  

Auburn will Play Northwestern, not Wisconsin, in the Outback Bowl

The Outback Bowl announced that Auburn will play Northwestern, not Wisconsin, in its bowl game. This is the first time the two teams have played each other. Northwestern is seeking its first postseason win since the 1949 Rose Bowl.

Kickoff: January 1st at 10:00 a.m. 

Records: Auburn: 7-5 ( 3-5 in SEC)

              Northwestern: 8-4 (5-3 in Big Ten)

Stats: Northwestern- 29th in the nation in passing (Auburn is 56th) and 93rd nationally in rushing (Auburn is 13th).

Tyrik Rollison Suspended

• Gene Chizk announced that freshman quarterback Tyrik Rollison has been suspended for a violation of team rules.
• Coach Chizik said, "We have high standards that we have set and fully expect our team to meet. When these expectations are not met, I will make decisions based upon what is best for the entire football team and the Auburn Family." 
• Rollison apologized  on his facebook saying, "To the Auburn faithful, I'm sorry. I will get this issue corrected. I want all yall to know I expect more of myself and things will turn around. WAR EAGLE!!!"

Marcus Lattimore Among Nation's Best

Auburn Prospect Marcus Lattimore is a finalist for the U.S. Army Player of the Year. Other finalists are Robert Woods, Ronald Powell, Dillon Baxter,  Seantrel Henderson, Kyle Prater, and Silas Redd.

Lattimore will also play in two bowl games after the state title. On December 19th, he will lead the South Carolina Sandlappers in the Shrine Bowl before playing on national television in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 9th, 2010.

Auburn to play in the Outback Bowl

• Various sources have announced that Auburn will play Wisconsin (8-3) or Northwestern (8-3) in the Outback Bowl in Tampa on New Year's Day. Kickoff is at  10:00 a.m. An official announcement is expected Sunday.
• Statistically, this is a very good match up. Both Auburn and Wisconsin have very balanced offenses. Auburn averages 214 rushing and 219 passing per game, while Wisconsin averages 198 rushing and 208 passing. Northwestern is a pass friendly team averaging only 120 yard rushing but 266 in the air.
• Northwestern beat Wisconsin 33-31.
  
• The Badgers are ranked 17th nationally and play Hawaii this weekend.

Brandon Mosley on Auburn

Brandon Mosley,  a defensive end prospect from Coffeyville Community College (Kans.), named Auburn one of his favorites after his visit last weekend during the Iron Bowl.

"They are up there, probably No. 1. It was awesome. It was big-time. It would be awesome to play over there. I've been to a few Georgia games, but I haven't seen anything like that." 

Florida State, Ole Miss, and Arkansas and many others have also made offers.

Mosley is expected to graduate in December.

Is LSU Still in the Picture for Lache Seastrunk?

• Lache Seastrunk on LSU assistant head coach Larry Porter being named the new Memphis head coach. 
• “I think it was a great move for him,” Seastrunk said in a story on TigerSportsDigest.com. “He was one of the reasons I liked LSU, because I would have liked to play for him, but I know he has to do what benefits his family. I can’t say where I stand with LSU, but I am proud and happy for coach Porter.”

Dakota Mosley is ready to "Rock and Roll."

• Michael Dyer's teammate Dakota Mosley committed to Auburn today after his visit this weekend. 
• Both Mosley and Dyer attended the Iron Bowl.
• Mosley said, "The visit kind of sealed it for me, the game yesterday. It was crazy. It's something I want to be a part of .I've never seen anything like that. The loudest, craziest game I've ever seen.''
• He is Auburn's 22nd commitment.
